A Walk Through Lincoln Park
I passed this old stone wall as I walked along Green Street toward Lincoln Park this afternoon.

Photos of the park itself and the view from the top of Lincoln Hill behind
My favorite set of stairs up the hill again.

The path up the hill is just about hidden by the leaves in places.

How long ago do you think these walkways were built? I was trying to decide how long this tree must have been stretching its roots out under these bricks.

More of Lincoln Park's stairs. It's a gorgeous place in the Fall.

There's my adopted city. This is the view southwest from the top of Lincoln Hill. The sound of vehicles rolling constantly onward on 690 is everpresent. I like standing on top of the concrete columns that support the fence at this lookout point. I listen to the traffic, and then I look at Erie Boulevard and try to imagine the sights and sounds of a hundred and fifty years ago when it was boats and mules on the Erie Canal.

At some point, I'll go over there with my big cameras....
