I feel like there's nothing I can do when popular rhetoric is dominated by demonstrable falsehoods whose promoters have no interest in truth. I increasingly feel like political action beyond voting is fruitless and the appropriate response is local activism and resistance.

And I don't know if I have the mental fortitude for that yet.

The appropriate response is the street but then it always was and this is an old radical socialist saying so!
