Steam is so awesome! Look how happy that guy in the cab is! To help operate that locomotive is a memory of a lifetime.
Before moving, I also went to a steam machinery show in northern Illinois. There were a few dozen tractors, some smaller stand-alone steam engines, and other miscellaneous things. There were two particularly fantastic displays of working steam power: a tractor powering a sawmill blade and cutting logs into planks, and another tractor powering a threshing machine that was taking hay bales in one end and showering excited kids on the other end with loose stalks!
I should have video of those too. Depending on how life is going, I may find them and post them.
