Friends on Facebook also suggested 3D printing parts for these. It's a great idea! I would really like to have one of those some day.
I used to read *so* much fiction. I've had a really hard time with it since grad school at Syracuse six or so years ago. I completely failed at maintaining a work/life balance there and spent all my time reading, writing, or sleeping. Since then, I've had a hard time reading for pleasure. The local friend I stayed with after the fire loaned me a graphic novel they thought I would like months ago, and I still haven't started on it even though it looks really great. (It's "The Prince and the Dressmaker.")
Before the fire, I read a couple books to my partner Miriam, and that was probably the most enjoyable reading I've done in too many years. I want to do more of that.
