He probably just doesn't want to spend time on discussing controversial opinions, and he knows that it won't have much interaction with your dental treatments. I had been on anticoagulant drugs after I had the stroke, and the dental surgeon (when I fell and smashed all my upper teeth) wanted to clear it with the cardiologist for me to stop taking them for a few days. They worked it out. He didn't care, because it just wasn't relevant. He probably doesn't ask patients what religion they follow, because it has no effect on how to treat their dental needs. (Just don't ask patients to "rinse out" during Ramadan.) Anyway, yes, he's a keeper :-)
