An idea that just came to me after reading another offer of Vox invites from someone on my friends list.

I wonder if would be possible to write a script that would copy all of someone's entries from a given online journal or blog, convert it into a format that fits another one, and then repost all of them with the appropriate dating for each entry? Maybe even put a GUI together and build in support for five or six different blog formats and allow free conversion or coyping between them. That way, you could have multiple blogs and keep them all up to date with each other, or move from one to another if you decide you don't like the service.

I'm not particularly interested in switching from LJ (I've never had much of a problem with them) or getting another blog (I don't have time to write everything I want to in one, let alone two or more), but it seems like an interesting idea. I know there are programs out there that will archive a blog, so maybe you could use one of them as a base to work from.
