I just figured out how to do the three full 360 degree spins that the steps at the end of Get Down Tonight on DDR Max II set you up for. And, being the dork that I am, I had to haul
wooisme downstairs to see me do it for her (after running through the piece three times in a row to practice). I am looking forward to showing off the next time there's a DDR group together. Yes, I am easily amused.
I have been in a fantastic mood tonight, buoyed by my mate really liking her new job. I'm so excited for her! It sounds like things are going to be pretty good for us.
I did still have to figure out a way to get to work tomorrow though. Evil Bob has been sick since the end of last week. I actually had to drive him home early on Thursday he was so unwell, and I worked from home via VPN the last couple hour of the day. Technology is so cool; I could work on email, all my administration functions, and monitor the unassigned ticket queue, all at my desk in my underpants. Wish I could do that more often. I am worried about Bob though; things have been pretty hard for him for a long time; I hope he's doing ok.
Since the Mercury still isn't registered (The ATM at the DMV was broken [of course] and they wouldn't take a credit card, so my 'coonie grrl has to go back again tomorrow) and Evil Bob is going to be home, I was without a way to work. But I called around and managed to find out that my mom isn't working tomorrow and will reschedule her chiropractic appointment to let me borrow her car. Thanks mom!
I also had my mom over briefly to show her the new car, which she really likes. Apparently she's always thought Sables were pretty cars. For my part, it's not too bad, but I'm just not very much into anything that was built after 1980. I also showed her the guitar I bought about a year ago but hadn't shown her yet, and I lend her one of my ergonomic keyboards to try out. Afterward I got some cleaning done downstairs, and Moira cleaned up the truck some, and beyond that we've generally had a really nice relaxing evening. I do believe I'll shower and go to bed now. I might write a little more, but I'm worn out.
