An example of the United States' deep solemnity toward the complexity and subtlety of the situation we find ourselve in in Iraq.

I'm not sure which is more disturbing: the Lieutenent General joking about what a hoot it is to fight in Iraq and shoot people or the fact that the audience laughed and clapped.

Good thing we're treating this with the seriousness it deserves...
