I just got back from another weekend out in Aurora with
danaeris. We had three days to fill since she had Monday off. It was a wonderful span of time that I'll probably write more about later.
For now, I'm back in Chicago, getting ready for my next couple of trips. I'll be in Grayslake tomorrow to help
posicat move some stuff around and play some Minecraft and stuff. Then after class on Thursday, I'll be driving out to Michigan to spend a couple weeks visiting
red_ceilidh and doing some more Detroit photography. (I know, I haven't posted all the pictures from the last trip yet....)
I've decided I need to be more organized if I'm going to do as much travelling as I'd like to. I'm starting once more to use some checklists and task lists. Stuff gets out of hand when you're not around. And even if it doesn't, I worry that it may get out of hand if I don't know where it is to begin with. Tonight I've gotten through six things on my list of nine, and will proceed with more. I'm making a list of every item I want to take with where I'm going. And I'm generally making sure there's nothing I need to do before being away for a while. I'm a little worried that I'm forgetting something, but if I think of anything, I just jot it down on my cell phone.
I'm feeling a little bit weird about not having to go to work every day, and maybe that now-homeless sense of obligation is making me feel like there's more I should be doing right now. But I have an appointment with college after I get back, and I'm looking into issues related to financial aid already. Tomorrow I'll be calling the unemployment office to ask a question. I'm caught up on bills and my credit card. Other than that, I can just take some time here and get outside and take some pictures. Do some exploring. And there is, of course, helping out a former coworker with his side-business here and there too. It's a little weird, but it's good. I think.
And finally, does anyone know how to get burned milk off the bottom of a pan? I've let it soak for a long time but it hasn't helped. Maybe steel wool....
