I'm considering buying a tablet to use for next semester at school and would appreciate advice. My primary purpose for it would be to read electronic versions of my school books, as well as read and make notes on journal articles.

I'm not going to buy an iPad, at least certainly not a new one. Too expensive. Big!Lots here in Kenosha has a couple of Android options. I'm wondering both how well the Android operating system and its available apps handle what I want to do, and how well these pieces of hardware specifically (A Nextbook Premium 8 for $100 and a Proscan 7 for about $75) would do what I want them to. You may not know this particular hardware, so I can ask Google, but if you know about Android and how it compares to other tablet OSs and are willing to offer your advice and experience, that would be awesome.

Professional cuddling. This sounds like something I'd expect in Japan. I definitely see the appeal, though I'm lucky enough to have no dearth of cuddles in my life.

I spent a while trying to sketch a kinship/relations chart for the ethnography I'm reading after skimming through the book and not finding one. Now that I've got it done and I started reading the selection for this week again, I have, of course, found the one in the book. That's ok; I think it helped me learn anyway.
