(no subject)

If I'm going to keep printing four-pages-to-a-sheet to save paper, I may have to stick a magnifying glass in my backpack. *grins* Or stop scrimping and just print two-to-a-sheet.

I want to write something more substantial here, but I have a lot of reading to do for this first week. I'll try and get to it this weekend (when, of course, I'll be attending Capricon....). Or possibly Thursday when it seems that I'll have some time. But you know what Arthur Dent said about Thursdays....

I'm feeling pretty hungry today and didn't bring enough food. Walking around between classes has used up more energy than I was expecting; I'll have to start packing bigger lunches and dinners.

I was going to go out and get Taco Bell, but instead I had a conversation with someone in my urbanism and urbanization class about 'ruin porn'. I explained the concept to she and my professor, then the student and I talked for a bit about photography of blighted areas, and about art that's objectifying vs. art that's humanizing. That was worthwhile.

So I'm going to hit the Subway on campus instead.
