I've read about first-year grad students who have impostor syndrome: they feel like they haven't merited the situation they are in. That they've been admitted via some kind of mistake and they aren't up to the task at hand.

I'm feeling a little bit like that even just looking at some of the highly-ranked schools in my search through Ph.D. anthropology programs. I hope that, if I do get accepted somewhere really great with awesome faculty who are interested in the things I'm interested in, that I'm up to the task of working with them.

In the meantime, have another photo of the water tower at Giant City State Park:

This classic Dairy Queen sign in downstate Carbondale, Illinois caught my eye as I looked for the Varsity Theatre.

Carbondale, Illinois' Varsity Theatre opened its doors in 1940 as a single-screen house with 1,100 seats. The theatre closed as a movie house in 2003, but reopened as a live theatre venue in 2008.

And before I stop editing photos for the evening, here's one of yours truly as I attempt to photograph a very reflective theatre facade in Murphysboro, Illinois in the rain.
