I'm back in Kenosha from a great weekend at

danaeris' place. We went to a board game meetup at a friend's place on Saturday and introduced folks to drunken Gnomish submariners. Our hosts were awesome and had corn, hot dogs, burgers and other foods. I felt bad about not having brought anything, but when I offered it seemed that there was already more than enough. Next time, I'll have to make a pre-emptive strike purchase before coming. *grins*
Today, I went with Danae as she took
lisagems out for birthday dim-sum, and afterward we explored the Asian market across the street. Despite the tasty food and a purchase of a sweet hot chili sauce I'm excited about trying, the day is most memorable for me for the really pleasant social time spent with the both of them. I feel so happy in my relationships.
This evening, I'm going to catch up on money so I know where I am before I possibly (probably?) buy a car this coming week. I also want to see if I can afford to get my bike overhauled and the back wheel trued. Somewhere along the ride, the back wheel developed a slight wobble, probably due to having so much extra weight and the bike path being partly along uneven sidewalks for short stretches. Sidewalks really are the wrong place for serious bicyclists at the least.
I may also heat up some food so I can try that new chili sauce. *smiles*
Anyway, here's what my bicycle looked like with three changes of clothes, two board games, a laptop and charger, my toiletries, and a water bottle packed into bags aboard. I'm thinking about ways to reduce weight for the next trip.
