I looked at myself in the mirror in the bathroom today and realized that I appear to be going ready to work stage crew after work today. Black shoes, black jeans, and black shirt. I even have my hair braided down my back and tied at the top with a black (ok, dark navy blue) scrunchy. I suppose it's not surprising that i'm strongly reminded of how much I enjoy working in a theatre. I'd like to get back to that somehow.
Speaking of hair braiding, I managed to do it to my own on the way to work today! I've been trying to learn to do it off and on for years, and though I still can't just reach behind my head and braid it, I can pull it over my shoulder and do it that way. As long as I tie it at the top of the tail first, it still comes out pretty much even. At least,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
serinthia tells me it does. I'll have to have my sweetie take a picture so I can see for myself. As best as I can tell from the mirror though, it's pretty decent looking, and it is a little more professional, which is the look I'm trying for.
Plans for this week look like Christmas shopping today, car wiring withposicat tomorrow, Serenity at Serinthia and Todd's on Thursday, then something to be determined on Friday. Maybe doing some testing with eGroupware under Windows since I managed to get 2000 Server installed on my Netfinity (christened Betawolf, though that may change at some point if it actually becomes a production server) and am enough of a Linux n00b that I can't even get the XWindows environment to load on the Red Hat machine I built. One of these days I'll figure that OS out.
