I might not have paid much attention to this building if it wasn't for the broken section of glass banding just below the cornice. I looked up and saw letters peeking out from underneath the flat black panels.
I have a fascination with buildings that are repurposed, and the way this one's former life as a Serbian hall is breaking through it's current one was appealing. Moving around to get the right angle reveals the hidden text on this very literal architectural palimpsest.

Edited to add: I didn't actually realize, until looking the term up just now, that 'palimpsest' is, in fact, a term used in architectural discussion. Oh, that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! I didn't know it until now, but I've always loved architectural palimpsests. That adds another layer of attachment to this literal one for me.
