Picture number 25 for the day! This makes the 438th picture since I started uploading pictures on the 3rd. My average so far is 31.3 pictures per day, including the 9th when I didn't post anything. So far so good! I still plan to do a big write-up of the whole trip once I have all the pictures up. I want to write down all the experiences and stuff while I still remember them as well as I do.
I went to the Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis, Illinois hoping to find the grave of the Birdman of Alcatraz, Robert Stroud. I wasn't able to find his grave (The only location I had was the cemetery name, and there are a lot of graves there!), but I did get to see some neat grave markers.
This monument I'm standing next to is actually a gigantic granite sphere on a pedestal. The whole thing was probably ten or twelve feet tall.
