As part of my own recognition of Fathers Day, here's a picture from a trip I took with my dad to the Illinois Railroad Museum in 2008. We're posing in front of a 1944-built Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 locomotive. A pretty thing, but she wasn't around terribly long before dieselization of the railroads really took off.

I love road trips with my family and people I care about, and I'm really glad I got to do this one with my dad. I'm hoping we can do another one near the end of the summer.
