This morning has been special. Details about that below.

But I get to see my boyfriend tonight and hear all about his adventures away! I've really missed him. *bounces*

The shifting issue on Longing was easily fixed and I rode to work. Halfway there, my back wheel got hungry and ate the bungee cord cargo net I had on the rack. I spent fifteen minutes trying to cut the cords and hooks out of the spokes with a little pair of side-cutting pliers, then gave up and got a bus. Now I'm worried my brand-new wheel has damage because the gears are no longer perfectly parallel to the axle.

My right ankle has popped for years after a bike incident, but it doesn't really pain me. My left one, on the other hand, has been popping too since I hurt it running after a train a few weeks ago and it *does* cause pain. The dog walking yesterday must have aggravated it 'cause today something feels a little out of place and hurty, and hurts if I move it too much. Why aren't these parts more easily serviceable? There's a design issue here.

I hesitate to see doctors about these things. In my experience so far, I pay copays for an x-ray and possibly an MRI, and have nothing to show for it in the end other than several hundred dollars of expenses.
