Things Aren't a Complete Shitshow!

Dappled green and brown leaves are combining with a break in the clouds to give the scene out my window a golden, very Autumn, feeling. If the news out of the US hadn't been as good as it is, I would not be able to appreciate that.

I got no work at all done yesterday. Instead, I distracted myself with a game and waited for the bits and pieces of election information to trickle out. The visceral terror I feel at the thought of the worst possible outcome has receded to much more manageable level. For now, I'm getting back to work and hoping future news is just as good.

Go out and enjoy those dappled days when you can! My memories of the Netherlands in autumn are of cold, hard rain. The sunlight will do you good.

That's largely how it was in Belgium when I was living there in the seventies- so pretty much like back home in England! :o)

There's been *so* much rain lately! That seems to be what Fall and Winter here are. Rain, drizzle, and more rain.
