I got these earrings at the Value Village here and they've become one of the pairs I wear the most. Even though they have gold and copper tones, they seem to go with a lot of things.

I have not been managing my eyebrows and want to start again, when I have a little more energy.

I still love the fact that estrogen has brought out freckles on my face and arms, even though sometimes (at some angles, or in some lighting, or whenever) I feel like it makes my skin look unpleasantly mottled and blotchy. I'm probably just being overly self-critical?

You are a beautiful woman! And I love the glasses! (I need to get new frames - I got my prescription checked a few weeks ago, with a new prescription.) I'm no beauty expert, but it looks as though a touch of lip gloss would make your face look more expressive. And the blue eyelet is very flattering on you. (And I love the earrings - I'm an old hippie.)

My glasses are fairly old at this point too and I think I need a new prescription. I think it might even be contributing to the headaches I'm getting. Now that I'll finally be on Miriam's supplemental insurance, I have some optical coverage - I think it's $500 every 2 years - so I'm going to get some new ones once things are a little calmer.

Ooh, maybe I should try some lip gloss for everyday wear! I was doing eyeliner sometimes before life exploded again, but maybe lip gloss would be a nice compromise with lipstick which usually feels like too much.

I love earrings; they can be so much fun! I want to make up for not wearing them for the first 40 years of my life. I need more pairs that I like and that kind of go with anything. The first pair I bought for myself are metal rings in a pride rainbow, but they kind of get in the way sometimes.

I had cat-eye glasses like those when I was in high school. They had tiny rhinestones on the screws that held the hinges. I've worn glasses since I was six years old, and I never got any kind of eye makeup to work behind the glasses. Powdered eye shadow flaked off and smeared all over the inside of the lenses. So I stopped bothering.to try to use makeup. But a bit of lip gloss would give your face a little more to draw someone's gaze.

I never had my ears pierced, but I wore clip-on earings, and I eventualy got an ear cuff, and I got a silver lightning bolt "charm" for a charm bracelet, and hung the dangle from my ear cuff - I'm the old woman with the purple hair and the lightning bolt ear dangle (and the bright purple walking cane with a tassel on the handle. But you appear in your photo as a charming young woman with a friendly expression. Mazel tov!
