I learned today that I will have not just one, but two take-home finals! (Well, one and two-thirds really.) That's great, 'cause it means I don't have to try to study for five exams in the course of four days. But it also means I have a chunk of writing to do before the end of the year. I also need to finish up my Southeast Asia paper and get my Powerpoint Presentation (first one ever!) done before Tuesday next week. I also really need to keep working on Spanish, 'cause I want to do well on the final. We got our list of questions for the oral portion of the exam today, so I wanna start working on answers.

I spent this evening over at Serinthia Kelberry's place for the first time in a while. That was fun! Might not be able to again 'till after school though. I'm going to start digging deeply into this work for a while.

But this Thursday, I'm going to take the train (first time in a while!) to visit my girlfriend Lisa in Chicago; she and I are taking a trip with my Southeast Asia class to the Cambodian American Heritage Museum and having what she describes (as someone who's spent years living in the area) as "real" Thai food at Sticky Rice. I'm excited about that!

And on Saturday, my wonderful kitty from Aurora and I will be checking out some possible houses for her in Chicago! *wags*

Ok, to work now.

Oh, I'm so excited!! I've registered for my classes in the Fall. I have seventeen credits (as opposed to the 16 I've taken this and last semester) in six classes. *bounces*

On the Anthro side, I'll be in a general cultural anthropology class. I'll have two two-credit classes that are intended to work with each other and are taught by the same professor: Social Science Research Methods and Data Collection and Analysis. One of them concentrates on interviewing people! Oh, that will be so cool!! Oh, I forgot: I have one four credit math class on the anthro side too. Statistics for the Social Sciences. It's been a while since I've done much with math, so there may be a lot of catching up there....

On the history side, I'm in Sources and Methods in History, which will involve learning how to use archives, among other things. That sounds pretty awesome too! And as a gen ed requirement in science, I'm in a class called Astronomy of Native America, which should be interesting from a cultural anthro point of view too. Oh, I can't wait!

I also need to talk to the history department soon about doing a dual major. I think I'll do that this week.

Ok, I did a little work. I think I'm going to get to bed early, 'cause I was way tired today. A quick question, though, for those who may have experience.

In my paper, I want to write something like [AUTHOR 1] referenced [AUTHOR 2] in concluding that x. I know I should cite AUTHOR 1 there, but I think I should cite AUTHOR 2 as well. Do I need to do some kind of double in-text citation? I'm not quite sure how to put that together.
