Sometimes you find really funny things in the archives! I'm going through notes put together by the author of a chapter on Kenosha city planning and transportation in a 1976 book on city history. At the bottom of one page is written the following:

"I was unable to finish 1929, I fell asleep. So I brought the reader over in the event you want to check some articles. Mitch."

Whatever archivist wrote the summary for the collection of the Kenosha County Clerk's General Records is my hero. Not only are all 94 boxes summarized, but each folder in those boxes has an individual listing of its contents. I would, if he or she were so inclined, give him or her a great big hug.
