(no subject)

It always leaves me shaking my head when I see anti-sagging memes. Why is really such a big deal? There have been much less practical fashion trends dating back hundreds, and probably thousands, of years. It's not hurting anybody. Why does it matter?

So I ordered these glasses from Zenni Optical quite some time ago. My girlfriend Danae helped pick out the frames. She thought they'd look good and I was willing to try something new wearing naught but wire rims, probably since elementary school.

I'm not sure about them. They look ok, if different. I think they might grow on me. Practical issues keep them off my face though. Beyond the weird loss of peripheral vision caused by the much wider temples than I'm sued to, they also just don't fit on my head right. They keep slipping off. And not being metal, they're a bit less adjustable than others.

So they live in my desk drawer as a spare. Which is too bad, 'cause I'd like to be able to look a bit different here and there.

Pic-a-day 13 June 2013

I was going to shoot a picture with my grandpa's Pentax, but the batteries are dead. So instead, I put my 28-80 with the broken autofocus on my Canon for this picture.

I'm out of pairs of glasses to wear for these, so I thought I'd use some of my jewelry. I'm not sure how effective the concept was.

I have a few things like ear cuffs and necklaces and hair decorations that I rarely get to wear. Most of it was intended for use while in garb at renaissance faire, and I don't get out to those nearly as often as when I was married to a member of the International Wenches Guild.

Incidentally, it's weird to see me with such a prominent adam's apple. I could hardly see it at all before I started losing weight.
