I reshared it, and noted that: "Perhaps the font should be bigger and friendlier for people who don't read much. And maybe we need to take out the really long words, like "governors." Some of the governors who need to read this might not understand what "governor" actually means."

On a lighter note, another Facebook friend shared a recording of the Dr. Who theme played on hurdy gurdy, harpsichord, and recorder. I love it so much! It feels like the Dr. Who Theme remixed by Kenneth W. Arnold in the style of Britannian Gypsy music. (Now there's a potentially obscure reference for you at this point....)

No. I Don't Want a Bag.

I'd stopped bringing my own bags to grocery stores because I can just carry my purchases out to my bike in the plastic handbasket I shop with. I took my first trip to Tops (a local grocery store chain) today for a few things for Danae and I and was told that I'm not allowed to bring the baskets outside. I guess I look like I might be a basket thief. After explaining the handbasket issue, the cashier, whose bag advances I'd steadfastly refused twice, suggested I'd need a bag if I couldn't use the basket.

Now I was just being stubborn. I packed eight mini-cartons of yogurt (on sale at 69¢) and two small bottles of milk into my purse, stacked up spinach, ice cream, toilet paper, and a 12-pack of Pepsi Max on top of my 90 ounce vegetable lasagna, and carried them out of the store without a bag.
