The stars, or traffic lights and wind, aligned this morning and I had my fastest ride to work yet; 13.5 miles in slightly over 50 minutes total time. But the recording seems to have disappeared from my bike computer. Oh well; life goes on.

My fingernails are now sparkly-metallic gray. I have already put a chip in the edge of my right pinky. It's interesting how conscious I've become of doing things that might cause damage to the paint.

Danae told me that her parents think it's clever and industrious of me to take library books we'd otherwise throw out and sell them. That makes me feel good; I went them to feel positively about me and be happy I'm with her. I've sold three books just this past week, and that makes me feel good too. Only several hundred more to go.... C'mon people; buy my stuff!

One reason I rarely us nail varnish is how soon it gets damaged if you are anything like active!

That's a great way to recycle those books. The shelves of specialized concrete books I have, well they might be empty except for people taking pop's or grandad's books to an on-line bookseller instead of just tossing them in the dust bin.

I imagine the buyers of your obscure medical texts are equally as thrilled as I am when I find an oft-cited but long out of print work!

It's fun to have books with some kind of connection; signed by the author, author is a friend, author is a friend's great-grandpa, etc. Among my concrete books are one with the author's own name inscribed in it (apparently from a conference he spoke at) and one book with the inscribed name of the author of another concrete book I have. :-)
