It's -5 F this morning with 13mph winds. By the time I'm done at work, it should be much warmer (about 10 F), but with 20mph winds against my ride home, and lots of snow coming down. Some days I am kind of tempted to pass on my bike and just get in my car. This is one of those days.

Turkey Vulture at Mississippi Palisades State Park

A turkey vulture leisurely flew and glided around the lookout that Posi and I found as we drove through Mississippi Palisades State Park. Our vantage point at the edge of the bluffs offered breath-taking views of both the river and the train tracks that lined its eastern bank. We spent some enjoyable time chatting with a railfan who happened to be there as we photographed the scene, though we never did see a train.
