A turkey vulture leisurely flew and glided around the lookout that Posi and I found as we drove through Mississippi Palisades State Park. Our vantage point at the edge of the bluffs offered breath-taking views of both the river and the train tracks that lined its eastern bank. We spent some enjoyable time chatting with a railfan who happened to be there as we photographed the scene, though we never did see a train.

It's not so easy to photograph moving animals.

But I got some good ones regardless. It was nice to have opportunities from above the bird as well as from below!
