laureth (and others) who appreciate such MacGyveresque geekery.
This is the state my glasses were in for about a week and a half as I waited for my eye exam and then the new pair to come in.

I was vaguely embarrassed to be wearing these during my first day of work with them, but after a while I hardly remembered they were broken anymore. The only person who said anything about them was seemed to think the repair job was pretty resourceful (in fact, according to the optician who examined them to determine my old prescription, I managed to align the lens within five degrees of true!), but that's probably not too unusual considering I work with a bunch of computer geeks.
Once I get around to it, I'll post a picture of myself with my old pair (before breakage) and the new pair so you can see the difference. I absolutely love my new pair; probably because Andrea helped pick them out. They are rather different and I think they really suit me.
