restoman and his crew are renovating. It must have been on my mind after talking to a couple of his crew members last night and him showing me some gorgeous leaded glass windows he's going to put into one of his houses.
Unusually, the laundry room at my building has been locked lately. When I got back home, it was open and being used, so I took my chance to get my clothes in next. The woman who was in it, and who lives in the basement apartment across the hall, told me that there had been some kind of sewer problem. I washed two loads of clothes while playing Civilization 5 and eating a pot pie dinner. Once I had all of my stuff hanging to dry, I nestled into my couch for my (mostly) daily five minutes of focused breathing. Feeling pretty good after that, I took advantage of the fact that I'd changed the cabling on my sound system to play music from my computer. (My cables allow me to connect the stereo to the computer line in, or the computer line out to the stereo; not both at once.) I queued up "Watermark," turned all the lights off, and listened to music while watching the LEDs of my equalizer's frequency analyzer. Sitting in the dark with soothing music and pretty lights is meditative for me; I should do that more. After a bit of that, I climbed into my loft just before falling asleep on the couch.
My wrist seems to have notably more range of motion today than last night. I think I'd be ok biking, except that if I had an accident and landed on that wrist, or even had to put much pressure on it, I have a feeling that would be bad. Maybe if I'm careful I can go out grocery shopping today and be ready to favor it in a fall, just in case.
