Coming to the Next Beginning

stormdogDanae's roommate sent me a really nice message about being excited to have me as a roommate in Evanston. It makes me so happy to feel welcomed!

restoman took me out for Chinese buffet, and once we got back to his house, he and some of his crew all had cake and ice cream for a sort of going away party. He's so sweet, and he works with some great guys. Several of them have expressed that they were just getting used to me being around so much and will miss me. (I'll admit that there's a part of me that really enjoys having a fuss made over me.) It's an odd feeling; It's hard for me to know when I've 'gotten to know' someone, and it surprises me that some of Glenn's crew seem to feel they have and that they like me as much as they do. I might write about that a bit later. But it's been really good to receive these expressions of care. I wish I hadn't been crazy over the Fall semester and had done more stuff with them.
For now, it's time to take apart my desktop PC, my desk, and my bed. I'll have to rely on my laptop from here 'till I leave on Tuesday morning.
