stormdogFor dinner last night, I ate a wonderful ceaser salad of baby-leaf lettuce and spinach, marinated chicken breast, and garlic croutons. I really enjoyed it too.
I just thought I'd note that here since it's probably one of the few things I could write in my journal that would shock my mother, who has been trying to get me to eat such stuff my whole life and meeting little success.
I have a lot of problems with fruit and vegetables that are probably related to the rest of the strangeness in my brain (one of the more common problems people on the AS/autism spectrum have is difficulty eating some kinds of foods. For me it's mostly a texture problem.), but I'm getting better. I've determined that, as long as the leaves don't have any of the thicker stem parts I'm able to get through them and, in fact, enjoy them. I feel really good about this! I don't eat nearly enough healthy stuff.
