Why do people name software after the antithesis of what the software means to accomplish? Amazon's Kindle, an ebook system named after something you start a fire with. Discord, a program meant to facilitate communication named after a state of communication failure and lack of harmony. It's weird.

I just bought my first ever thing via Kindle because it was the only way I could get a textbook I need without waiting most of a month or more. I didn't manage to get prepared for school early because of that intercontinental move thing I was doing.

I'm dealing with Brightspace, which abbreviates to BS, and is completely accurate in that regard.

Heh. Simmons University has moved a bunch of stuff to a system called Workday. I think it's named that because it takes at least a day to figure out how the hell to do anything in it.
