That's a pretty common experience too! The reactions to my meme were interesting: it seemed like about 50/50 between those who found increased interest in men and those who found decreased interest in men.
I can't speak for other people, but I wonder whether, for me, it's about cis men being much more likely to be a danger to me than other sexes and genders. But I think it's more complicated than that.
