For me, it's coming *out* of being bi rather late. Even though my ex pushed me at two of her boyfriends and it was awful (for a lot of reasons), and much later I tried sex with a male friend and it was awful (for several other reasons), I still didn't figure out that, well, maybe I'm just not that into boys.
