Jul. 10th, 2004 04:09 pmAndrea and I were heading out to the Silverleaf faire today for opening weekend. We turned around after Andrea finally realized that she really is too sick to go and that it won't be the end of the world.
It's ok. I'm sorry I won't be seeing people (like
imandunewen) today, but at least I'll have plenty of study time for A+ OS tomorrow. I just spent aobut two and a half hours going through all the questions on my practice test and made a comfortably passing grade, so I'm a little less worried. My brain is quite worn out at the moment though. I'm going to go play the new game I picked up at Seven Mile Faire in Wisconsin for a bit. Apart from a little bit before going to bed last night until my brain slowed down enough to sleep, I've spent almost literally no time on my console game systems over the last couple of months.
Ya know, we still have no downstairs neighbors... Maybe I'll get Dance Dance out...
And then, at some point, I may do some cleaning. I quite literally have just given up on that during weeks when I'm going to school. I just don't have enough time. I hope to get a little bit caught up this week, at least on laundry.
Strange thing at work yesterday: the temps were all informed that they should all stay in the building for lunch on Friday. People from Kelly Services were bringing pizza and having a sort of meeting. Two women showed up (who, incidentally were both slender with similar length perfectly straight wispy blonde hair. The only way I could tell them apart was to figure out precisely where the ends of their hair lay on their chest and compare the two...) and we all gathered around a table with some of the people from Partners in Progress, the company I work at. The Kelly people and the PiP people sat and talked about little things such as what they disliked about employment and tax law and the fact that work was picking up and more temps would be coming in next week. After a while of listening to conversation that wasn't relevant to me, I picked up my book and started reading, figuring when they got to something important, they'd let us know. Next thing I heard from anyone lunch time was over and I had to get back to work. I'm still slightly confused, but at least I got free pizza and breadsticks.
I am so looking foward to having my A+ cert. I am so looking forward to attempting to find a real job. I just have to pass that exam tomorrow.
