(no subject)

Something in another community brought the following issue to mind: is 'burglerize' a proper word? I lean toward it not being such and employ 'burgle' instead. That is, "I am going to burgle that house" or "My house has been burgled". Burglerize is commonly used instead though and it doesn't seem quite right to me. It seems analogous to saying "The painter painterized the house."
