(no subject)

Ugh; I feel astoundingly lousy this morning. I was starting to get a sore throat and runny nose over at todd_riverden and serinthia's place last night, and this morning they are here in full force. Beyond that, I don't get my usual hour nap on the way in today because my ride, Evil Bob, thinks that, like yesterday, he may be stuck after hours for an unspecified amount of time working on his projects. I really don't want to be stuck there 'till 6:30 again.

That was particularly frustrating last night because Serin and I had plans for the evening that I'd been really looking forward to and we ended up not having time. Well' s'ok. We've rescheduled for Sunday when things will probably be much better time-wise anyway.

Speaking of Sunday (and posicat and farm_cat, I was planning to give you a call this evening when I get back from work to let you know), I was going to take a trip out to Madison to look at a car, but that may not be occurring. The one we were going to look at has a possibly faulty head gasket, and while it does run and drive and I might be able to fix that myself, it's a bit more than Moira or I would like to take on. I guess we keep looking. That's ok; I think that once my quarterly bonus comes in, she and I will be in a better position to look through the classifieds and buy something from a private seller.

I'm up earlier than I usually am and I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep. Work promises to be sucktacular today. I suppose I'll get through it.

Incidentally, how is it possible to wake up feeling this crummy and this yiffy (er, that would be, shall we say randy, for the non furry inclined on my list) at the same time? *grumps* Please kill me now. Or do something to me now, anyway.... *smirks*

(no subject)

I can't remember the last time I've left work in the middle of the day. I've called in sick a couple times in the last year, but never actually left in the middle. Once I'm there, I can usually tough it out. But it got to the point where I was blowing my nose every five minutes so as not to drip on my keyboard, and I was getting a bit light-headed from all the sneezing and coughing. That was about enough.

It still feels halfway between being sick and having a nasty allergy attack. Dunno which it is to tell the truth. I just want it to go away; I have plans for both days this weekend, not to mention I'm supposed to be helping a friend's brother set up a small LAN for his real estate company tonight.
