I'm highly amused that the name of the computer I'm building, according to our naming convention, is going to be 'fekenxp'. I've felt like expressing that very same sentiment myself on numerous occasions.

Our mechanic's advice on our Mercury was to find a replacement car. So, we've started looking. We're in a better position than we were the last time we had to go car hunting, so maybe we can find something more in line with what we really want (small, efficient, hopefully Japanese or other Asian, four cylinder) as opposed to what circumstances dictated last time (a relatively large, six cylinder American car). She's already sent me a link to an ad for a '74 Beetle. *giggles*

I'm going to put off my camera for a while and throw that money in toward a car. Hopefully that, along with money from selling my laptops (I'm going to give them to serinthia this weekend for her to work her |\/|4|> |_337 Ebay sellz0ring skillz on) and our old two cars will give us enough for something decent. Whee.

Meanwhile, I am really looking forward to having a few people over this Saturday. The company of friends is a wonderful thing.

It's funny how much better a turntable sounds if you actually ground the ground line. That line frequency hum goes right away! Funny, that....

Since I can actually listen to them without them being drowned out by a 60hz interference tone, tonight has been straightening up accompanied by a string of albums on vinyl. Devo's Freedom of Choice to The Small Faces There are but Four Small Faces to Golden Avatar's A Change of Heart to, just a few minutes ago, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Mmmm. I love vinyl.
