I haven't seen the movie. I don't have a whole lot of interest in doing so. I'm not big on war flicks, and none of the guys in the previews (I'd inlude women too, but for all I can tell they did not seem to exist in ancient Greece) have long enough hair to catch my interest. But I couldn't pass this up.

More stuff is following me home from work!

I have two boxes full of hard drives. Laptop hard drives that range from about 6Gb up to 60Gb. Most of them are bad. Well, about half of them, possibly more. This is exactly what I wanted!

I'd decided that laptop drive sized hard drive platters would be perfect to make a strip out of down my back on the suit of armor I'm building. With fifty drives to disassemble for the platters, I should have more than enough, and even have some left over to make chest accents!

I have four Pentium II 500Mhz slot 1 CPUs that I'm considering using to top the shoulders (I'll drill holes to mound them with with a drill press), and I'm up to four Pentium Pro chips that, if I'm really ambitious, I'll use on some kind of helm.

And beyond that, I have boxes and bags full of RAM to make the strips of armor plating that are going to compose the shirt and the thigh panels (this is intended to look sort of like Japanese splint mail; think samurai armor).

Before too long, I may just have all the parts I need to get going on this thing! With luck, I'll be able to wear it to fair and cons this year! *bouncebounce*

I better go outside and hang the clothes bars in the garage. I've already done the carpet cleaning, and if I get everything else done that I'm supposed to, Andrea is going to take me out for a walk! Or something like that; she said she'd give her puppy some exercise....
