Jul. 2nd, 2007 10:21 pmI haven't been online tonight. I've been doing better about that, but Andrea and I decided last week that Monday evening was going to be together time. Life gets too busy and we don't always have enough of that. Admittedly, I am now writing a journal entry, but the rest of the evening was spent with my mate, and, to be honest, I'm a bit too worn out to sit in front of my desktop and be online. Plus, this weekend, not to mention Monday, wore me out!
I haven't been able to get things written down in here with any sense of immediacy lately, and the weekend is no exception. I don't really remember what happened on Friday. Saturday was good. The trip to Taste of Chicago happened, and we had lots of good food and fun times. I may post a few pictures after I get my camera back; I accidentally left it at Posi's place. Oops! We had Moira and myself, Tybis, Posicat, and Magicpaw, who I'm told I'd met but didn't really get to know at all until today. He seems really cool.
On Sunday, I drove out to DeKalb to hand out with Tybis and help clean his apartment. Somehow, cleaning never quite happened, but we did get good Chinese food at the best buffet I'm aware of (heavenly crab rangoons), watch the animated Van Helsing movie (that was interesting), and generally just hang around and chat. Thanks for having my over Tybis! It was really relaxing.
Of course, since I spent the night in DeKalb, I had an hour and a half drive to work. I had to get up a little bit earlier than I'm used to, but that was actually ok because the scenery was really neat. I don't get to see much farm land very often and it was really pretty. There were a couple things I wished I'd had my camera for.
Saturday was also my grandparents fiftieth wedding anniversary; I feel more than a little bad that I missed going to it, but we only found out about the event the day before. Somehow, I haven't made it to calling my grandpa and asking him if he wants to visit the Forevertron with me. I need to do that while I'm off work. I also need to try to get together with a few people. *woofs* I also need to work a little more on the house, though to be honest, it's really not that bad right now and that makes me happy.
I've been talking to Posi about coming up to Kenosha with him tomorrow and working on getting the pool set up. I talked to Tybis tonight too about he and Andrea and a few other people are talking about doing something for the fourth up here. I'll have to see if my parents would like to come by too. I think they'd all get along well.
Didn't know that this was opening week of faire 'till tonight either. Now Andrea and I will have to talk about scheduling of that versus camping, because she really wants to go to faire. Eh; discussion for tomorrow. I don't think I can keep my eyes open much longer. Puppy needs sleeeeeeee.......
