My mailing list auditing project at work is going well. Out of just about three hundred groups, I have confirmed the status of two hundred and twenty-six. One hundred and nineteen of those were deleted as obsolete. Can you tell that we dont do much house-cleaning around here?

I was told by a salesman who was at the help desk room that my keyboard was really interesting and that I use my hands on it like Liberace. This same person was completely sun-bronzed, had the long-haired (for a guy) surfer kind of hair cut that barely missed his eyes and came half way down his ears, had a heavy valley accent, and used the work 'sick' as an adjective without actually referring to anyone's health. I rather liked him.

[livejournal.com profile] steviemaxwell and [livejournal.com profile] netrage dropped by last night to pick up a few odds and ends. My house is less a box of expansion cards, a laptop or two, a monitor, and a laser printer. Thanks guys! I appreciate you helping get rid of stuff! I have someone I've never met from the LAFF list showing up on Saturday around noon to pick up a few more things. After that, I hope I'll be taking the rest of this stuff to work on Monday.

We still don't have word on what's wrong with [livejournal.com profile] wooisme's car yet, but I sure hope it's back at the end of Friday. The mechanic, when I talked to him today, said he's put four hours into diagnosis, and has three trouble codes he's tracking down, but it's an intermittant problem and all the obvious things look ok, so he's going to drive it around and try to reproduce the issue. I told him I understood 'cause I've had computers like that. You spend two days trying to fix a software issue that turns out to be hardware or vice-versa. I trust our mechanic and I'm not going to complain.

Tomorrow, I have to get up early and head over to my parents house around eight to help my dad with his computer. We need to wipe out his OS partition and start from the beginning. I may have a copy of XP that will work on his machine too, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] posicat, so maybe he'll get an upgrade out of it. Then, I have to drop by the local gaming shop, Rockheads, because [livejournal.com profile] foreignlegion tipped me off that the owner might want to consider buying one of my tablets. (I'll probably meet up with my guest from LAFF between those two events.)

I'm probably also going to get pictures of the three computer I'm putting on Ebay and write copy to post on Tuesday (Andrea assures me I shouldn't post on Friday through Monday or I won't get the best prices). I had to send a refund to the guy who bought the telephony card from me because I couldn't find my tracking number and he couldn't find his item. Gah. Nobody's fault, really, but I hate when that happens.

Speaking of items, last chance before they hit Ebay. One Toshiba Portege with a 2Ghz Core Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, and *full factory warranty through 2009*. (Looking for about $1000 *IF* Brian at Rockheads doesn't want it.) One HP TC1100 tablet with 1Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM. (Looking for about $400.) One HP TC1000 tablet with 1Ghz processor and 512MB of RAM. (Looking for about $300). Just let me know if you're interested.

Can't wait to get out of work today....
