I know most people I know are likely going to the thing that Furp is doing today. Unfortunately, though I'm feeling much better than I was earlier, I'm still not up to being outside in the relative cold very much.

I spent a lovely evening last night watching Babylon 5 with [livejournal.com profile] moiracoon. I'd love to do more movie/TV-show/what-have-you watching. If you don't have any plans for today and might like to do something with me, let me know. Call me if you have my number, or drop a comment here if you don't.

In the meantime, I'm going to get a few more computers ready for Ebay. And put on a sweatshirt again. Brr!

Two addendums (addenda? Too lazy to look it up at the moment....)

1: My cell phone is out of power since I left the charger at work. Call the home number instead.

2: [livejournal.com profile] samiitiger; I have the hard drive for that think pad you got from me. Do you or whoever can get it to you want to stop by on your way up or back to pick it up? If not, I'll get it to you some other time, I'm sure.

This stirs my fever-addled brain to paroxysms of laughter. http://www.myconfinedspace.com/2007/10/12/connection-reset-by-peer-headstone/#comments

Maybe it's just the fuzzy-headedness.

I have yet to develop any real cold symptoms like sore throat, cough, or congestion, except in a very minor way. On the other hand, my joints are intermittently mildly sore and more than mildly sore, and my eyelids hang heavy like the years over my dusty databanks over my eyeballs. I definitely have some inner ear action going on 'cause when I get up too fast, or, really, once in a while for no good reason, I get swaying-around dizzy. Andrea even left a bowl full of chocolate icing for the brownies she made to take with to Furp's party with the suggestion that I consume it, and I haven't touched it, or the whole mint-chocolate chip brownie that she left for me either. This is not like Stormdog. However, I have at least managed, in my enforced home confinement, to:

  • Get a laptop ready for sale
  • Get a desktop almost ready for donation to one of my dad's students (just have to finish updating windows and ghosting it so I can do the rest of the same model easily, assuming HP hasn't changed the integrated NIC since they have about ten zillion drivers on their website for this model)
  • Clean the computer room and organize my tools and CDs and stuff
  • Other things that I'm sure have already had their staked out areas in my brain replaced by the desire to flop on my bed under covers. I just tried that though, and it helped a bit but it does get kind of boring after fifteen minutes or so.

No one's been home at my parent's house all day; I thought maybe my brothers would come over and watch Dr. Katz or something, but alas. They and my parents are probably all off at the Saturday D&D game. S'ok. I will continue to browse My Confined Space, Fark, Livejournal, and other stream of consciousness randomness.

Yes, it was my fever addled brain. I'm up to 102.0 now, after 101.9 at ten o' clock and taking an Ibuprofen generic. I just took one more. Andrea says I should take a shower, but if I take a cool shower, I'll end up in shiver fits I think, and if I take a warm shower; well that doesn't do much good for lowering body temperature, does it?
