Feb. 1st, 2008 08:56 amI've been far too busy at work lately to do much writing, so I haven't responded to that question meme that's been going around. It's too bad, as that is one of that rare breed that I might actually fill out, despite the pleadingly saccharine wording that seems to oft accompany that sort of thing. Ok, admittedly, it's not as bad as some of them. Which is good, because I'm a softy and will fall for that sort of thing.
Anyway.
I made it on to work via my usual route; winding through Kenosha out to highway Q, then down whatever road turns into Hunt Club south of the Wisconsin/Illinois border. The snow was lots of fun to drive in, though it did take me about half an hour longer to get to work. But that's ok because I was up early; Andrea got stuck in the snow bank at the end of our driveway so I pulled myself out of bed to help her shovel out.
I'm glad it's warmer today. I'm still having to drive with my window occasionally cracked open to prevent mist building up on my windshield since the fan for the heater isn't working. This morning was particularly bad with all the fog in the air; I used a spare scrunchy to keep wiping the inside of the glass and sprayed windshield cleaner liberally to keep frost and snow from obscuring my vision.
We're short a person today, so I should get back to work. The snows kept
serinthia home today and we have four systems to build for Monday. I am so looking forward to the end of the work week. I was showing Magicpaw and Tanuki the Ultima 5 remake last night (not to mention to
farm_cat a few days ago; she really wants a copy), and I'm really excited about having further time to play it.
Anyway.
