Apr. 1st, 2008 09:25 amYesterday must have worn me out. After dinner, Andrea and I cleaned out a couple more boxes from the basement but didn't even get as far as putting the sorted items away. I was sitting on the floor, leaning back against the couch, considering where things would go when this wave of lethargy crashed over me. I dragged myself over to the futon and fell swiftly asleep. I only got up long enough to feed the dog, eat a little hummus and other things that were not as good for me, and go to bed. And this morning I still felt a little tired. I've had a sore throat and minor cough for a few days; maybe I was fighting off being sick.
I'm meeting Andrea at Carmax after work to get a sense of what we'd be looking at there for financing. I'd still rather find something cheaper and used from a private seller, but I want to consider all options.
I saw a 2-door hatchback Civic DX on the way home yesterday, and it was actually pretty cute for a newer car (which is to say, it doesn't look horrendous like 90% of the other things on the road). While at work, I was looking at Civic modding sites since it seems to be very near the best fuel economy I'm going to be able to find. I found this site listing all the weight reduction mods people have done, how much weight they save, and the equivalent increase in horsepower from them. Kind of cool. Some of it's a bit excessive, way over my head, or both, but they're kind of fun to read about to see what people have done.
