May. 18th, 2008 09:26 amSo, I'm back in the house for the first period of more than an hour that didn't involve sleeping since Friday afternoon. Rather than write about what happened this weekend, though, I need to figure out who I can call on a Sunday to investigate the squirrel that Andrea found lying on the sidewalk in front of our house. As we walked to perhaps fifteen feet away, it continued to lie on it's stomach taking rapid, shallow breaths, and occasionally blinking. After a little discussion, Andrea walked toward her car to drive out to Menards and I moved back toward the house; then I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I turned around to see the squirrel now on the side of the tree, but again staying very still and taking rapid, shallow breaths. I'm kind of concerned about rabies....
--------
Oh; I guess squirrels don't get rabies. Shows what I know. but someone from the humane society will come out and look.
