Until then, I was looking for something to read while working on calling in systems for techs to come onsite from our vendor to repair. I was bored and wanted to read something interesting. So I did a Google search for that one simple word; 'interesting'.
I found this damn interesting site. No, really; it's called 'Damn Interesting' and is a regularly-added-to series of articles about interesting and little-known tidbits from topics as wide-ranging as Astrology Hoaxes from the 1700s, government testing of neurotoxins in the '60s, New York City's 1912 pneumatic transit system, and more.
People, take this as a warning: this is a dangerous website. If you have a propensity for getting lost in really plump and juicy bits of trivia, this is a multi-course meal. Watch out.

I still haven't come down sick like a large number of people I know have. I'm hoping the mild sore throat of the last five mornings will prove to be the worst that this particular round of crud is going to deal to me and that I'll be fully recovered for faire tomorrow with LAFF. If not, well, it's not like there's nothing for me to be doing at home either, and we'll still meet up with people for dinner.
On Sunday afternoon, I'm going to heading down to Oakbrook Terrace to check in to the hotel room I'll be living in during the course of my Cisco bootcamp, through next Friday evening. moiracoon and myself are planning to meet up with rileybear67 down there for sushi, hot tubbing, and a general mini-vacation.
I'm not quite sure if five days of 8 or 10 hour class is also going to be a vacation for me. I'm leaning toward thinking so, especially having had such a great time in my Cisco class in Michigan. Still, I'm a little bit nervous about it, so wish me luck?
