stormdog: (sleep)
I had a good, though busy and full, weekend. Visited [livejournal.com profile] polymorphism and [livejournal.com profile] nekouken on Saturday evening. Then Sunday was spent with [livejournal.com profile] barton_fender and [livejournal.com profile] jimcyl in Indiana, exploring the high school I was in previously, and an abandoned middle school as well. We stopped in to show my dad the church in Gary too. I'm glad he got to see it; it's just lovely, but it's coming down faster and is on it's way toward steeper decay.

I'm borrowing [livejournal.com profile] farm_cat's car for the week while she uses mine. I wasn't able to get my wheel bearing replaced over the weekend, and I'm not comfortable making my 60 mile commute with it right now. She drives less then five miles a day, so I'm not worried about it in her hands. I'm going to see if my mechanic will have time to do it this week. If so, [livejournal.com profile] moiracoon is going to drop me off and pick me up at work for a day. If that works out, I'll have a good car that I can use to drive out to Michigan to meet up with people at the fur con out that way, and maybe take a side trip to MCS or to visit other Michigan friends if they're free. (Other Michigan friends? If I was out that way this weekend, would you want to see me at all? I'm thinking of either [livejournal.com profile] custardfairy or [livejournal.com profile] laureth.)

Today though... I'm tired and sore. My stomach still hurts a little bit, and it doesn't help that I ate too much at Sweet Tomatoes with my dad. My neck hurts a bit from knocking my head against a pipe in the middle school basement pretty hard. And my wrist is bugging me a lot today too; maybe it's the weather. Never bothered it before...

I'm feeling a little far from some friends, and, all in all, would rather be snuggled up under blankets on the couch and watching Labyrinth.

We just got the latest copy of PC Connection here at work. It's a little ad flyer, basically.

On the front page, it's hawking Office 2007. The ad copy states "Create impressive-looking documents, spreadsheets..."

Note that it's not 'impressive', it's 'impressive-looking'.

This explains what's wrong with business today.
