(no subject)

It's amazing how much of an effect sugar has on me. Since realizing that I may be hypoglycemic like farm_cat, I'm paying attention when I eat things I shouldn't, like the donut I just had (every other Monday here is free donut day). I have all this energy. I can hold the rest of my body still, but I occasionally get surges of energy and I do that flappy interlocked-fingers thing that I do when I'm excited. I really ought to see what my blood sugar is right after I eat something sugary like that. Or I should just stop eating sugary things. I've been better; I don't eat dessert when I go out to buffets. (Ok, except when Sweet Tomatoes has that lemon lava cake stuff. *whines*)

I"m out of lunch stuff at work, so I'm about to make my trip to Aldi and Goodwill. Here's to good hunting!

Results of Goodwill trip: Baldur's Gate II for $2.99. Whee! Years and years ago, I almost finished Baldur's Gate; maybe I'll dig it out again one of these days.

So of course, as soon as I got serinthia back to the house to get her car, I ran out with my camera and tripod.

They're working late tonight. It's almost seven and I can still hear concrete falling into a dump truck bed and large metal things clanging together as I write this. I think I'm going to hold off on going back out to Walgreens until they're done.
