moiracoon is being tremendously helpful by going out to dry my clothes since our dryer is failing to light again today. I have to pack up my little bag of toiletries, and that should be about it. Oh, and my laptop and stuff. And the portable hard drive with all my pictures. And my tripod, but that's in the car already.

Taking a break from New York City for a while, and at the risk of duplication if I ever go back and post more of this set, here's a picture of Gary Indiana's City Methodist Church. This is from a trip to Gary about a year ago (I think; my camera date may be off because it says I shot them at two in the morning) withjimcyl and mlguy.
Built in the 1920s, largely with financing from US Steel, City Methodist closed its doors in the '70s and has been left to decay. The interior is breathtaking.
It's been way too long since I've made it over here. I also haven't taken or posted ruins pictures in way too long. Sounds like I'll have some from this weekend though!
