I had to go out today to drop off a UPS package (return ship for my hard drive) and buy some dish detergent. On the way home, the astounding quality of the light today and the explosions of color at Green Ridge Cemetary caught my eye. I dropped stuff off at home, grabbed my camera (which I didn't have with me, oddly enough) and dashed back out for some pictures.

Here's one of them. It's all about the light.





Now I'm goin' back to workin' on the kitchen and the rest of the house. Progress! Woo!

I have to offer thanks to mocha_mephooki who made me a gift of a Pink Floyd live double album, Pulse. I'm listening to it now for the first time as I clean up the computer room.

I am awed and inspired. Stephen Hawking's voice is on the fifth track of the first disc, Keep Talking. "It doesn't have to be like this. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking." He's a hero of mine, like Einstein and Tesla, and it was astounding to unexpectedly hear him, amidst the music. I'd read that his voice was in one of their pieces, but I'd kind of forgotten about it.

Speaking of people I hugely admire, did you know that Douglas Adams played live on stage with Pink Floyd? It was a sort of gift to him on his forty-second birthday. Watch the video here. Blessings on another person, no longer with us, who helped to shape my life.
